How to Use and Operate Commercial Freezers ?
1.Pre-startup Preparation:
Ensure the freezer is placed on a flat, well-ventilated surface, away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Allow new or moved freezers to rest for 2-6 hours before powering on and run them empty for 2-6 hours to stabilize the internal temperature.
2.Temperature Adjustment:
Adjust the temperature based on seasons and stored items. In summer, set the thermostat to a slightly higher temperature to reduce compressor runtime and energy consumption; do the opposite in winter to ensure optimal freezing. (Reference temperature for refrigeration of various foods: Beverages: 2-10 ℃, fruits and vegetables: 5-10 ℃, dairy products: 0-5 ℃, fresh fish and meat: -2~2 ℃)
3.Placing Goods:
Leave gaps between goods to ensure proper air circulation. Allow hot food to cool to room temperature before placing it inside.
4.Routine Maintenance:
Regularly clean both the interior and exterior of the freezer with mild detergents, avoiding corrosive cleaners like abrasive powders or alkaline solutions. Check and clear the drain holes to prevent clogging.
5.Defrosting:
Direct-cooling freezers require periodic manual defrosting to prevent thick ice from affecting cooling efficiency. Automatic defrost freezers do not require manual intervention, but note that the temperature may rise slightly during the defrost process.
6.Safety Precautions:
Use a dedicated, grounded three-prong power outlet. Avoid cluttering around the freezer or placing it too close to walls for better ventilation and safety.
